This year’s flagship category, Capture Oakville - The Streets of Oakville, the only category that is required to be shot within the Town of Oakville’s borders, has been updated to our street photography category to provide a challenge to our entrants and change things up a little from past events.
Also new for this year is the Capture Sports & Action category. Oakville has a strong sporting heritage we are looking forward to action shots from the field or court. The other returning categories are Capture People & Portraits; Capture Black & White; Capture Landscapes; Capture Nature & Wildlife; Expressions - which is only open to youth 18 and under.
The Grand Prize is $1000 cash with additional category prizes provided by our many wonderful sponsors.
“We want to thank our returning sponsors including The Mark Kirton Team RE/MAX Aboutowne Realty Corp. Brokerage, The Town of Oakville Cultural Grant Program, Henry’s, Burlington Camera along with the Oakville Arts Council and The Oakville Community Foundation for their continued support.“ said Capture Oakville Chair and Oakville Camera Club Vice President Bernie Cook.
