About the event
Learn about the history of the former Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital as we explore the patient-built underground tunnels and nineteenth-century cottages.
The guided tour presents an overview of the 89 years of the Hospital's history and acknowledges the varied experiences of patients and staff. Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital (founded 1889) with a private guide and with 700m tunnel for us to explore. She will allocate time for us to take pictures/question inside the tunnels and outside. After the tunnel and hospital tour, we can stay at the park to take pictures of the buildings/lake and Toronto view.
